Catching Up
Wednesday, November 13, 2013 by pam

Sorry to have been so quiet lately. Life has been quite hectic. In a good way.

First, an update on THE HOUSE. Hubby wasn't crazy about it and God didn't toss a bunch of money in our laps, so it's a no-go. I was a little sad at first, but I have peace around it. It just wasn't the right time.

We went to Williamsburg over Veteran's Day weekend. We own a timeshare condo there. As usual, the day after we arrived, Anna wanted to go home. She enjoys the ride down more than being on vacation. But we got her to the indoor pool a couple of times and took her to The Pottery one day. We were going to walk in Colonial Williamsburg on Sunday, but my younger daughter, Mary, came home unexpectedly from college to get winter clothes. So, we packed up a day early and went home to spend some time with her.

I've started working with my agent on the proposal for my fantasy novel. I'm thankful for her, as she has a good eye and great suggestions.

A friend's son has been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. He has autism, but he knows what's happening. He would like to live long enough to have one more Christmas and one more birthday. Please pray for God to be generous. I try to remember what his family is going through when I get frustrated with Anna. Especially now, as she's acting out on the bus and not wanting to get off. She'll sit on the floor and do what we call the "wet noodle." It's very hard to pick her up! She's a stubborn thing.

Seizures have been about normal. She had a big one last night at the bottom of the stairs. I couldn't hold on to her. Thankful that it didn't happen when we were half way up or at the top. We would have fallen all the way down.

Life continues to be full and busy. Next week, I think I'm going to start a series on marriage. Being married is not easy, but it's even harder when you have a special needs child. Please join me for a good discussion on how we can keep ourselves together without losing our spouses! There will be some good suggestions, even if you don't have a special needs child.
